Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at the Legion BC Yukon Foundation. Without them, our work supporting Veterans across British Columbia and the Yukon would not be possible.
Every day, volunteers help keep Veterans House Victoria running smoothly. From welcoming residents to helping with daily tasks, their time and care help make this house feel safe and welcoming.
Our volunteers also support the Leave the Streets Behind program by packing Apartment Kits and Comfort Bags. These kits include everyday items Veterans need when moving into housing, helping make a tough transition a little easier.
Many volunteers give their time by running and supporting fundraisers such as the VI Run for Veterans Homelessness and the Charity Ball Tournament. These events raise important funds while bringing communities together to support Veterans.
Within the Veterans Homelessness Program, volunteers work directly with Veterans. They help with apartment viewings, moving, finding and delivering furniture, and getting settled into a new home. Their support helps Veterans begin their journey toward stable housing and renewed independence.
We are also thankful for our Board of Directors, who volunteer their time and talents to guide our organization. Their leadership helps ensure strong governance and long‑term success.
Quite simply, volunteers make our work with Veterans possible. We appreciate every person who gives their time, energy, and heart to support those who have served.
