With the help of generous donors, the Legion Foundation BC/Yukon is able to create a local impact for veterans, seniors and youth in local communities. There are many ways to give to the Legion Foundation BC/Yukon:
Donating online is easy and secure. Online donations can be made in memory of someone or as a tribute. Donations of $25 or more receive a tax-deductible receipt via email. Click here to give today.
Donate by Telephone
We understand that not everyone is comfortable entering their credit card information online. If you wish to make a donation by credit card over the phone, please contact our office at 604-575-8840. Donations of $25 or more will be sent a tax-deductible receipt by email or mail.
Send a Gift by Mail
We are pleased to accept cheques made payable to BC/Yukon Legion Foundation at our office:
101 – 17618 58 Ave
Surrey, BC V3S 1L3
A tax-deductible receipt will be mailed to the name and address on the cheque for all donations of $25 or more.
Support the Key Tag Program
Losing your keys can be a frustrating, time-consuming and expensive experience. The Legion Foundation BC/Yukon will return lost keys that are registered with our Key Tag program. New key tags are launched each September. To learn more, click here.
Become a Monthly Donor
Monthly donations allow us to better plan for future projects and initiatives. Online donations can be setup and managed on our donations page or you can fill in this form and mail it to our office.
A consolidated tax-deductible receipt will be sent one per year. Monthly donations can be changed or cancelled at any time. To change or cancel your current monthly donation, please call our office at 604-575-8840.
Plan a Legacy Gift
A planned gift in your Will doesn’t impact your current financial situation and can pledge your commitment to future generations. As a benefit to your loved ones, a gift in your Will may reduce the capital gains or other taxes on your estate, lessening the financial impact on your family.
Should you wish to bequeath a donation in your Will, please ensure that you use our legal name:
British Columbia/Yukon Command of the Royal Canadian Legion Foundation
Registered charitable number: 88076 0285 RR0001
Should you wish to remember the Legion Foundation in your Will, please let us know so that we have the opportunity to express our gratitude. Please contact Amber Stewart, Executive Director, directly at 604-579-0087 or by email at email@example.com.
Canada Helps is a website that processes donations on behalf of other charities. It is an easy, convenient way to organize all of your donations and tax receipts in one place. Visit the Legion Foundation profile on the Canada Helps website to learn more.

Can I donate to my local branch and still receive a tax receipt?
Unfortunately, no. Local Legion branches are separate entities from the Legion Foundation BC/Yukon and in most cases, are not registered charities. The Legion Foundation BC/Yukon is unable to accept funds designated for Legion branches. If you wish to donate directly to your local branch, please contact them directly.
I donated to the Military Service Recognition Book. Can I receive a tax receipt?
The Military Service Recognition Book is published each year by the Legion Command BC/Yukon. The book publisher, Fenety Marketing, conducts a telephone appeal, often asking for pledges, to raise funds in support of this initiative. In both cases, these organizations are separate from the Legion Foundation and should be contacted directly for more information.
