Running Marathons up Mountains to help Veterans

In a remarkable display of endurance and determination, Stewart Wilkinson, a member of Billy Bishop Branch 176, is embarking on an extraordinary journey to support his fellow “Hidden Veterans” – younger Veterans who often struggle unnoticed. Stewart’s awe-inspiring endeavour involves running a series of challenging mountain races, culminating in a grueling 100-mile race, the IMTUF 100 miler, on September 16th. His mission is to raise awareness about the challenges faced by young Veterans as they reintegrate into society after service.

Stewart, a Veteran with British and NATO forces in Bosnia and Kosovo, knows first-hand the struggles that younger Veterans can face when navigating back into society. He is backed by a strong support team including his wife Robin – the daughter and goddaughter of Veterans.

We invite everyone to rally behind Stewart’s incredible mission by following his journey, sharing his story and making contributions to this fundraiser. All proceeds will support Legion Foundation programs, including support for Veterans through research & treatment of trauma and PTSD, career transition services, and support for Veterans experiencing homelessness.
